Continue of paved footpath, 24th April
I wonder whether the paved footpath which leads from Wheatear Road to the end of Blackcap Avenue could be continued the short way to meet up with the end of Egret Drive at the point where it joins the new entrance and crossing on North End Road. This would be both convenient for the householders in this area and also help pedestrians who wish to access the new Sainsbury’s supermarket on Arnold’s Way when it’s built. These pedestrians would be encouraged to use the crossing rather than to cross nearer to the large roundabout, which would be advantageous for safety reasons. This path is likely to be established as a “Desire Path” anyway, so it’s worth paving this route before that happens. On a similar note a householder appears to have placed some trellis and small bushes across this route possibly to discourage access. Looking at the plans this is not their garden and is public access land on the estate, please could these obstructions be removed.
