Signage, 27th January
Recent Public notice reduced the speed limit to 30 mph but the speed limit has been reduced to 20 on the bends at this junction and Claypit Hill. Returning from Chipping Sodbury yesterday I suddenly came upon the 20mg limit then 2 yards further on was a 30 mph temporary sign. This was very confusing and also dangerous. There is no need for a 20 limit on the corners a warning of a bend ahead or chevrons would suffice. The car behind was fed up with me slowing down to 20 on the corners and just overtook at speed. The 20mph on the corners will probable cause more accidents such at being hit from behind. It probably isn't legal as there was no mention of this limit in the public notice. Please restore the speed limit on the corners to 30 mph. The majority of people slow approaching a corner, the type who end up in ditches never will.
