The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of BS30 6HQ:

There are significant potholes on the Bath Road going towards Saltford just before the turning for pixash Lane. These are in the middle of the road just before the bollard. It is very dangerous as there is an Audi car parked on the road so you have to go through the multiple, deep pot holes to go round the vehicle., 6th April

The pot holes are getting bigger due to a car permanently being parked on the road just before the pot holes. People are going around the car and trying to avoid the multiple pot holes and as a result are coming very far over the wrong side of the road to avoid it. I have reported the car to the police but they have not replied to me. The car and the pot holes are making it an increasingly dangerous situation.

Multiple large and Wide potholes - main road, 7th March

Thu, 07 Mar 2024 16:49:28 +0000
51.411212 -2.478279

A4 Bath Road Keynsham - nearest point of reference would be central and carriageway near 205 Bath Road. Due to inconsiderate parking by a person owning a silver Audi Q5, traffic, including emergency vehicles, buses, lorries, cars - and motorcycles - are hence forced to drive into the middle of the road near central island. Vehicles have no option except to hit deep crevice pot holes. I’m frustrated as I had a puncture after hitting the pot hole, which shredded offside tyre - so had to buy new one. The pot holes have been there weeks. Who do I claim from for new tyre - BANES?

Dangerous road, 7th March

Really dangerous. Audi car parks on the road and to get around there are huge holes in the road. Anyone trying to get around this car....thousands of people a day will hit these holes...damage their car or worse and potentially swerve into oncoming traffic and crash as the road service swerves the car. This is dangerous and needs attention asap or the car moved so not directly next to the potholes. I hope they can live with themselves if they cause a crash with the hazards of the road surface

Audi parked on A road near pedestrian refuge cross point, 4th March

Mon, 04 Mar 2024 22:56:31 +0000
51.410869 -2.477115

There is an Audi parked on an A road where the speed limit is 40mph and very close to pedestrian refuge cross point. This is a main road connecting Bath and Bristol which has many active bus routes and multiple large trucks passing by everyday. As the car is parked near the crossing point, busses and trucks have to really slow down to manoeuvre themselves around the Audi without causing scratches. During peak hours this is causing a lot of traffic as the oncoming vehicles have to also slow down from 40mph to give way to cars going around the Audi. As cars have had to go around the parked vehicle, there are now potholes on the middle of the road and during bad weather it is barely visible causing cars to run into them and bikers to nearly slip and fall. I have already seen many close calls of cars nearly crashing into oncoming vehicles and crashing into the Audi during bad weather. This is not the first time the Audi has been left there. It was been there multiple times over the past 1 year. There has also been a mini truck parked there multiple times. I use this part of the road on multiple times a day and have been confused why this issue hasn't been solved already? I am sure police or other traffic control staff have seen this already while they drive this way but still have not actioned it? This place has to be made a double yellow as people should not be allowed to parked there due to it being near a crossing. The continuous presence of this obstructing vehicle poses a hazard to public safety. Your IMMEDIATE attention to this issue will be greatly appreciated, as it is causing real traffic concerns and safety issues. And please make sure this doesn't repeat in the future instead of just clearing it this one time like its been for the past year. If the council is not able to take strict action on this issue or don't have the power to do so, please let us know whats the next highest level of authority we can report this issue to. Many thanks!

Potholes in central reservation, 29th February

Thu, 29 Feb 2024 20:59:44 +0000
51.410976 -2.477379

There are two wide and deep potholes in the central reservation on the Bath Road here which are presenting a big safety risk due to the cars and builders van now opting to regularly park their vehicles on the Bath Road (rather than on their own property / elsewhere). This forces traffic to drive onto the central reservation to overtake and it’s near impossible to avoid the potholes considering the oncoming traffic. I fear this may cause an accident if not dealt with urgently particularly to cyclists and motorcyclists, drivers on the road at night and also not overlooking how all vehicles are likely to suffer damage.
