No traffic lights on a 4 way roadworks, 15th January
The West End road which leads onto the B3139 has no lights. The other 3 ways do, so you have to use your best judgement to enter the road. When I used this road on 12th January 2024 around 5 pm, there was a parked van obscuring the traffic coming from the oncoming lights direction so I made a judgement to pull out. Then a car drove around the van. I stopped, leaving room for the car to get through and the driver behind drove into my rear. I now have to go though the hassle of insurances and getting my car fixed. This should be a 4 way traffic light system, a lot of people use this road as it is a short cut around the village of Wedmore.

This is another repair that was either not finished or the work quality is abysmal. Why is the work not checked as we the rate payers are funding these repairs please get contractors that do the work to a professional level. About 30+% of repairs are sub standard

Just after the junction coming into Blackford from Snipefield Lane on the left a hole is rapidly growing on the left hand side. This is not just a pothole but a significant opening under the road beneath a hole in the tarmac - currently 10cm diameter and over 1m deep, 21st August

Beneath the opening the hole is at least 40cm in diameter and over 1m deep - difficult to see inside without a light, but I sense this could easily collapse and create a very dangerous opening in the road. Been developing over 1 week at least.

Failure to fill potholes in Stoughton Road, 21st April
From the junction where Stoughton Road diverges from Snipefield Lane on the outskirts of Blackford a highways team went all along Stoughton Road 3-4 weeks ago up to the junction with Eastfield Lane putting yellow marks around numerous potholes and areas that they had clearly identified as needing attention. Nothing has been done and virtually all the yellow marks have now been erased/washed away so if and when a team arrives to do the work they won't be able to see what has to be done! What a waste of time and money with no resultant action!

Dog mess on our drive and pavement areas of Hervey Close Wedmore, 3rd January
Someone is allowing their dog to mess on our drive and on the stretch of pavement adjacent to our garden. As our gardens in Hervey Close are open plain we cannot fence off or gate our front garden. Signs re fouling on nearby lamp posts are being ignored. Two other householders in the Close (a cul de sac) have mentioned the same problem.

Massive Pot Hole - Danger to all, 25th August
Just up Snipefield Lane from the junction with High Street, Blackford and close to Horsepool Farm there is a massive pot hole more than 2 feet across and very deep too. This needs urgent attention as it is a real danger to all wheeled traffic and a car could easily break an axle if it went into it.
