Storm water runoff from Old Lane, 3rd January
During the heavy rain today, 3rd January 2024, the storm drains in Old Lane Tickenham were blocked and excess water ran into the new Ryves Vale estate roads. At least one garage was flooded. The storm drainage system is inadequate on Old lane. On enquiry we are advised that this used to happen before Ryves Vale was built and the new electricity infrastructure project was built but that, it has become worse since the EDF project was commenced. Certain improvements were proposed but have failed to deal with the issue and as there are new residential properties affected this matter is now very urgent. We have a video which clearly shows the excess water coming from Old Lane running across Clevedon Road into Ryves Vale. There was a great deal of debris in the flood water which blocked the Ryves Vale storm drains resulting in flooding.

Low kerb is allowing rainwater to flood our property, 28th June
The low kerb on the side of the highway on Silver Street is allowing substantial levels of rainwater to flood our property.
This can either be resolved by: 1) Installing a new rainwater drain on the main highway before the turn to 34 Silver Street. 2) Raising the kerb slightly so that rainwater does not flood into our property and continues to run down the road.
In my opinion option 1 is the correct solution.
