Ground work linked to new build project, 3rd May
The closure of a lane at the round about for such an extended period of time is resulting in dangerous conditions for vulnerable road users who I have witnessed on a number of occasions walking cycling or scooting along the road works directly into oncoming traffic or trying to cross right at the island where they cannot be clearly seen .
The has been no addition work carried out and the excavation should now be filled in and the lane restrictions removed. Given this is a know route for school children and those attending the college campus they present a significant risk and it is foreseeable that it is likely to result in a serious and avoidable injury or death. This risk has now been drawn to the councils attention and your failure to take action could result in joint liability or culpability in failing to ensure the work are managed correctly with suitable protections for road users.

Dangerous coning, traffic and non compliment street works, 3rd May
There are TM measures in place on Whitchurch Lane roundabout as you come of Hengrove way roundabout are hazardous and poorly maintain by contractor posing a risk of injury and vehicle accidents. Firstly the cones are always strewn across the carriageway on approach and exit of the TM. Most of cones do not meet specification due to damage or missing reflective surfaces. Signs are metal and often toppled over into carriageway and not sandbagged correctly. Signing is inadequate and poorly maintained and the whole area is a hazard and cannot meet permit conditions (assuming they are being enforced?) the whole layout and design of these street works is not fit for control of traffic through them. There is also a collapsed drain now which was caused by forcing vehicles into gutter and is now an open hole with no protection. If this was a utility contractor Highways would be all over this site so I don’t understand how this particular contractor can flout the rules so openly. Suggest you get a highways inspector up there quick smart and start handing out FPNs. The whole set up is a complete joke. They have also (with highways approval I assume ) re profiled the round about destroying the surface in the process and have now temp the area which is now breaking up . I look forward to seeing an improvement in the situation rapidly.

Road drain cover missing, 1st May
Had to put it as pot hole as I can’t find the relevant Category, but the square drain covers that lay on the side of road one half of one in this location is missing, This could have implications if a roads user gets too close and goes into it and could damage the car very badly with the engine grounding the floor causing the sump to lose oil, or possible car to leave the road and do more damage else where.
