Manhole cover in road, 11th March
Very noisy manhole cover when traffic goes over it. Tarmac starting to break up around the cover. It is located approx 30 meters form Crofters Wood heading towards centre of village in the centre of the road. Keeps us awake at night due to noise which is effected by traffic in both directions

All the cars think it’s just a road and push the pedestrians to the wall the line that protects pedestrians is faded and needs renewing. The schoolchildren walk up here everyday. And the speed the cars come up someone’s going to get hurt

As previously reported on the westbound carriageway of Steyning bypass, nearly 2 weeks ago, somebody’s highlighted this, and yet they’re still no marking around the pothole. It’s just got bigger and worse and I cannot believe the council have not accelerated a response to this massive pothole.

Loads of potholes, general condition of road dreadful, 5th March
Location begins from where Church Lane meets Tanyard Lane on into Shooting Field up to the School Road turning. Whole road is braking up, multiple potholes, large areas of tarmac gone in middle of road exposing old concrete surface. This is the main access road to Steyning Grammar and Steyning Primary Schools, motorists struggling to keep eye on kids crossing whilst avoiding holes and craters. It resembles an unmade road.

Persistent flood across road, 23rd February
The 'drain' outside 19 Rosemary Avenue is not connected to the main drain. It is only a soakaway and rain water is regularly overflowing causing flooding to the road. This has been reported on numerous occasions over the last 20 years without resolution. With increasing rainfall during the last few years, the road is flooded more often than not during the winter months. Signs of erosion to the road surface are now starting to appear.

Large very deep pothole just past Steyning Leisure Centre, 23rd February
This pothole has been here for months. It is right by the Steyning Leisure Centre. This area gets flooded constantly and when there has been heavy rain the pothole can not be seen especially at night. Many cars including my daughters have had punctures caused by this enormous pothole. I have also reported it to the West Sussex County Highways Department.
