Big pothole next to war memorial in Village centre. If a bicycle or motorbike hits this in the dark it will not be a good outcome. Cement run off from building site blocking drains, 13th March
Land off Arundel Road Angmering BN16 4ET
There is an immediate issue concerning the construction site located at the land off Arundel Road, Angmering, BN16 4ET, that requires prompt attention. The drainage systems and waterways in the surrounding area are becoming obstructed by cement and other pollutants, posing significant environmental and infrastructural risks.
This problem not only disrupts the functionality of the drainage system, potentially leading to flooding, but also compromises the water quality, affecting both wildlife and the community. The contaminants, likely originating from the construction activities, necessitate a swift and responsible response from the parties involved in the construction project.
To address this situation, it is imperative for the construction management to adhere to environmental protection guidelines strictly, ensuring that no harmful materials are allowed to enter the drainage systems. Additionally, local authorities and environmental bodies must collaborate to assess the extent of the pollution and oversee the cleanup efforts.
Immediate action is required to mitigate the impact of these contaminants on the environment and prevent further damage. This includes clearing the existing blockages in the drains and waterways and implementing stricter waste management and pollution control measures on the construction site. Through cooperative effort and adherence to environmental standards, we can resolve this issue and safeguard our local ecosystem.
