Potto on the corner of Haines Road in Guildford Road, 31st March
I have been asking for four years to please fill in that pothole. It is dangerous for bikes. It is also dangerous when you ride a mobility buggy as you have to go on the wrong side of the road just to be able to get past it without damaging my, mobility scooter. I cannot get about on any other transport and since I have to get past on the wrong side of the road, I am in danger been hit by a car coming towards me please please can you fix that pot I keep being told it’s not deep enough but as I have a damaged sciatic nerve in my back. Every bump is very painful. I know I’m not the only one to keep asking for it to be repaired. There is also another one as you come out of twin way onto Haynes Road. It’s also getting worse than what it was. It would be a miracle if anyone actually comes out and fixes them living in hopes.

Tree Preservation Order application, 6th December
Large well established Holm Oak
Likely at some point that the Property (43 Rosebery Avenue) will developed as the owner is in a care home and the property is in poor state of repair.
The tree is home to a birds and a pair of squirrels we see regularly. Since the mass removal of trees etc on the old HMRC site a lot of the wildlife has been displaced as seen by more activity in our nearby garden at 39 Rosebery Ave.
Ourselves and neighbours feel this grand an old Holm Oak in healthy condition requires a Tree Preservation Order placed on it.
Thank you
John Cox

Tree Preservation Order application, 2nd December
40 year old Sycamore Tree which is a haven for roosting endangered starlings is in urgent need of protection from felling. The tree has been a landmark feature in the neighbourhood and has contributed to the social and personal sense of wellbeing for those who have had the pleasure of living in proximity to this beautiful specimen. It is a haven for a wide variety of birds that frequent this area because of the shelter and habitat provided by the tree. Starlings (roosting numbers approximately over 100), Chaffinches, Great Tits, Magpies, Crows, Pigeons, Sparrows (flocks of over 80) and, of course, squirrels all use this tree regularly throughout the seasons. In the protective shelter it provides when in full foliage there can be found thousands of insects, butterflies and moths who in turn act as important members of an extensive food chain that supports a ever reducing habitat in our community. The tree is such a mature and healthy specimen that it surely qualifies as a candidate under the heading of nature conservation and is a significant contributor to a healthier climate with it's large production of fresh oxygenated air when in full foliage and it's cooling influence through large scale transpiration of moist air on summer days. It is an important symbol in the battle against climate change to protect this tree and others like it in our environment. The tree is a self-seeded specimen that sprouted in land not bounded by any residential property around it and is therefore not under the care or maintenance of any resident in the area.
