Obstructive parking, 17th March
In recent months cars have started parking opposite the bus stop Haworth Road, between Spring Cottage and East Terrace. As well as severely disrupting the flow of traffic during peak times, the obstruction in this particular location is dangerous.
I have witnessed several near misses caused because of the 3 vehicles that have started parking in that spot.
When a bus is at the bus stop on the opposite side of the road, cars heading towards Lees Lane pull in to the centre of the road to avoid them, but at the same time, cars coming out of Vale Mill Lane and up Haworth Road are also pulling out in to the middle of the road to get around the bus. The visibility of both drivers is compromised with cars on able to see each other at the last minute.
With cars also parked outside the row of cottages on the opposite side of the road, drivers are forced to zig zag from one side to the other, with large vehicles forced to wait. When a bus is at the opposite bus stop and a large vehicle coming down Haworth Road the traffic has to wait until the bus moves as there isn't enough room for large vehicles to manoeuvre around the 1-3 cars that have started parking on that spot.
This area is already a dangerous spot due to traffic merging on and off Haworth Road from Hebden Road and Vale Mill Lane.
Yellow lines need putting on this small section of road so that cars can only park slightly further down where the road is lined off. Whilst yellow lines are planned for further up on Lees Lane, by the chip shop, they should also take the opportunity to put them here too. Now that cars have started parking here it is becoming acceptable with no regard for the danger and issues it is creating.

Road needs loose gravel sweeping, 7th January
Since Cryer Meadows was resurfaced a couple of years ago, there has always been a large amount of loose gravel left in the road surface.
This has now built up, particularly on the hill down from Midgeley and the junctions with Merrall and Lees Lane.
The road sweeper seems to have forgone sweeping the roads last year.
The gravel is dangerous and I have seen numerous cars skid where the gravel has accumulated. The loose gravel is also filling up the drains too.
Please can this be swept properly. It does need more than one pass to remove the volume of gravel that has built up in some sections.

Hedges spreading in to pavement, 20th June
The hawthorne bushes at the bottom end of Lees Lane need cutting back. They stick out so much in places that you either have to walk on the road or have your eyes scratched out on the branches. Not sure if the councilor private land owner needs to sort these, but they do need urgent attention.
