No footpath, sharp 'S' bend, 12th February
The 30 mph sign is too close to the bend so cars approach very fast. It is a very narrow section of the road. There is no footpath or streetlights and people (including myself) walk on this section of the road regularly. It is very dangerous, dark and cars approach too fast. If a footpath cannot be put in, or it made one way, I think the 30mph limit should start earlier and there should be a speed control measure put in place before the bend eg road bump. I dread having to walk on here during the dark but I don't have any other option.

Total absence of road signs at the top of NETHERGHYL LANE. °Y, 3rd October
There is a total absence of road signs at the top of our rural lane leading out of CONONLEY. It is a very narrow "T" junction with no pavements. Motorists cannot see this junction from either direction. It has ALWAYS been like this in all our time living here -30+years. -

4 bollards on this stretch of the A629 are ineffective, 2nd March
4 bollards on this stretch of the A629 are largely ineffective due to age and dirt from passing motorists. Is it possible to upgrade to newer bollards to make stopping / turning into the cottages at this location safer? If not replacements it would be good to understand if new reflective material is permitted to be added.

Lights not working, 22nd July
2 of the 3 lights under the tunnel haven’t been working for over 12 months. In winter this is the only footpath out of the village, the other being through the church yard, so isn’t suitable in winter in the dark. The Parish Council have reported this numerous times, why are they still not working?? Please fix them ASAP.

Dangerously narrow, blind and curving old bridge. No warning to road road traffic coming down steep incline., 15th July
Our old stone cottage (Bridged Cottage, Netherghyll Lane) is immediately adjacent to this bridge an curving roadway, The only road signs on this part of the lane, is, from from the north (Stockbridge Rd), a Children Warning now hardly visible and a Gradient Warning. The property to our left have two very young children under ten years of age.
Traffic, walkers and cyclists increasingly use this lane as a popular route. We dread the possibility of people who are not familiar with this part of this lane being facing a really serious accident or even death. Finally, I would suggest that a warning sign of this bridge is erected at both sides of Netherghyll Lane at the TOP T junction (Skipton-Colne Rd). A speed limit sign would also be necessary. I know funding is a big issue for local authorities. Thanks for your time. Tom Clinton

Tree Preservation Order application, 11th August
Mature oak tree. There are few oaks in Glusburn and Cross Hills, and even fewer that are the age of this one. The nearby mature horse chestnuts are beginning to fail, making this healthy oak even more important in supprting local wildlife, including rooks which nest in the tree (which you can see in the attached picture) and owls that perch there while hunting in the meadows. I believe that this tree is significant and should be preserved.
