The gullies in Lane 3/4 have blocked. They may be full of silt or the silt/debris has blocked the openings in the gratings. The gullies are no longer fit for purpose and this could lead to carriageway flooding if the surface water runoff is not able to get off the carriageway.

Numerous messaging signs are not illuminated between jct 26 and jct 29 East and West, 22nd April
A number of variable speed signs are not displaying any message or speed, including one the on the 8th April when approaching roadworks one red 'X' was not displaying in lane 3 (of 4) around j28 (East bound). This is despite the previous gantry displaying two red 'X's for lanes 3 and 4. Also a number of gantries have signs out when variable speed restrictions are in force - one gantry close to jcn26 had only one sign showing speed in lane 2. Both sections could do with a check to see what signs are operating as they currently the present a poor interface to drivers.

2 loose manhole covers, 22nd January
There are 2 loose manhole covers after the Shell garage and before the Thorndene Way estate on the A650. They've been loose a while, the road's very busy and therefore very noisy.

Collapsed drain in road, 2nd January
Unsure how long this has been an issue! Hole was flooded was raining heavy approx 6pm 31.12.23 car went down with a right bang. Reported to council they were already reported as an issue but no cones out to warn drivers to avoid! Awaiting car mechanic to check underneath of my vehicle to check for any damage, shock absorbers etc. Have video cam footage. Please be cautious if not been sorted

Sunken drain cover, 11th August
Sunken drain cover reported several times outside 129 Whitehall Road East. Every time a heavy vehicle hits this sink cover it makes a large bang which can be heard in our lounge and front bedroom. When problems occur on M62 and traffic is diverted from J26 to 27 via Whitehall Road East the noise is unbearable. Someone did come & mark it with spray paint but nothing got done.

Most Lights not working, 26th July
Most of the lights are dead with only a couple working/flashing. Most of this section of motorway is in darkness every night has at least a year. Problem between Hunsworth Lane bridge and A58 Whitehall Road West bridge.

Blocked Drains, 3rd July
The central reservation drains are blocked. Full of soil , traffic cones and other items that have come to rest in the central reservation. These drains need cleaning out and vegetation removing. It is dangerous when raining as the road is not draining off correctly and will cause aqua plaining. This is along a long stretch of the M62 between Leeds and Huddersfield in both directions.

Rain damaged road, 19th June
Road swelled up during heavy rain. Now the ballooned tarmac has retreated the drain has collapsed. Cars having to avoid the drain.

Pot hole fills with water and due to the speed of traffic splash pedestrians and vehicles parked., 30th May
This pot hole has been here going on 3 years. Poor repair from a water leak and the council has been made aware. The noise of cars dipping into the hole can be heard and must prevent people sleeping.

There is a mixture of 40 and 50 speed signs for the average speed camera zone for the roadworks going east on the m62 Jct 26 towards 27.

Dead cat on central reservation of M62 westbound before junction 26, 8th December
Dead ginger cat on central reservation of M62 westbound before junction 26, has been there all week so far (w/c 5th December). Distracting and upsetting to see, hope this pet can be removed, scanned and the family informed.

Boundary trees between Adwalton Close rear gardens and the A650 are dangerously high, 11th August
I am writing to suggest that the trees currently situated between the residents rear gardens on Adwalton Close and the A650 must be maintained in some way as soon as possible. Residents have tried to contact, resulting in no success, the local Drighlington council over concerns of the safety and the general environment they create. We've had discussions over how, because of their height, the trees sway dangerously in high winds, with one even coming down into someone's garden and almost onto their property last year. The height of the trees also means that sunlight is regularly blocked out, resulting in unsafe, slimy surfaces and general annoyance over our gardens being constantly in the shade. We feel that an effort to maintain a more suitable tree height, would improve the overall garden environment and make it a much safer place to reside.
