Public footpaths have uneven and holes along with gravel and past poor repairs repeatedly reported to dcc but nothing ever done, 21st December
Cllr Bryan added active travel is not just for cyclists and pedestrians, but also for people who need wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
“Uneven, narrow pavements and missing crossings can prevent them from moving safely around their area, limiting their independence, with resulting impacts on their health and happiness,” he added.
“Being able to walk, wheel and cycle more easily can reduce air pollution and improve our own mental and physical health and wellbeing, even in small doses.
“Please have your say by taking part in our short survey. Your input will help Dorset access more funding from the government so we can make getting around their local area easier for everyone.”
The survey will be open until January 18 and is available on Dorset Council’s website to fill in.

Erosion of Brook Lane, 13th June
A Few Years back additional road gullies were installed to prevent surface flooding and erosion of Brook Lane.. The drainage for this work was installed in the unmade section of the Lane outside my house. Through lack of of gully clearance the the job is ineffective but its whole object negated since work was carried out on a nearby foot path.
The destabilisation of the consolidated track following the drainage works and the stone that regularly gets washed down the steep part of the lane has eroded the track to a dangerous condition.. The large stones that are regularly was down provide a grinding of the surface when the 26 tonne refuse lorry pass op and down. Push chairs and one invalid cart used to use this section but it is now unsafe to attempt it.. The problem has become worse with the very large refuse trucks, the new drainage system and finally the work done on the nearby footpath that seems to be the final element in the degradation of the track. The photographs indicate what happens when it rains .
