Large hole in road with steel plate now dislodged, 22nd January
Large hole on road, had previously been filled and is now covered by a large steel plate which appears dislodged by cars driving over it. Scared me to death when driving over it in the dark. Potential plate and hole in road to cause damage to vehicles.

The road on Whittycroft Avenue, Higherford, is sinking. The surface is breaking up all along the road., 31st July
The road consists only of a layer of hardcore and a shallow overlay of tarmac. Parts of the road are now sinking and breaking up. There is a bouncing effect when traffic goes over the sunken areas. The problem was exacerbated some years ago when Gisburn Road was closed as a result of work on gas piping and water mains and for three weeks all the traffic from the M65 travelling through the area was diverted to this already fragile road.

Recent storms have left a build up of silt/gravel and the existing potholes have broken down further. Approaching from Barnoldswick it is like driving on a farm track rather than a tarmaced road surface

Many potholes of considerable depths., 31st January
There are many potholes of considerable depths along the whole length of Beverley Rd from its junction with Gisburn Rd to the Cross Gaits Inn. This roar is used many times daily by parents taking their children to/from Blacko School. Imagine the consequences if a cyclist hit a pothole, fell off into the path of an oncoming vehicle, which swerved to avoid him and hit parents and children.

Big deep pothole causing tyres to bust even when driving slow, 23rd January
Roadworks in the afternoon of 22.01.2018 leaving a big pothole, causing several vehicles with damaged/bust tyres driving over it. It was dark at the time of incident and not made visable.

Bollard missing from traffic calming outside 45 Birtwistle Ave., 29th November
The bollard is missing from the traffic calming measure. This has caused me to bump my wheel on it as when its dark as without the bollard being there the piece that juts out into the road cannot be clearly seen. With cars parked along the road to pass you need to go into any available spaces. This is when i hit my wheel on it.
