Lancashire Moor Rd is a mess, 6th May

The road surface from Laneshawbridge up to the Herders is atrocious and has been like that since last July when it melted. It's actually dangerous to cyclists and damages motor vehicle suspension and wheels. In addition to that the edges of the road have never been properly finished off and have chunks missing, this also damages the wheels of vehicles as the road isn't wide enough for two vehicles to get by in many places. In Winter after heavy rain, water is allowed to cascade off the fields and onto the roads damaging them even further. It used to pool at the bottom and flood all the way across the road until I made a small drainage ditch to relieve it! There are numerous flytips, one of which has actually got names and addresses on the paperwork dumped there at the moment. The dumping spot near the Herders houses needs either a bin putting there for peoples use or even better, concrete barriers putting there so it can't be abused. It is rarely used for innocently parking there, usually for unsociable behaviour and dumping. Going past Combe cross to Yorks there is one or two dips in the road so vicious that cars regularly bottom out on it causing damage. If you drive from there to the border with Yorks on Two Laws Rd the surface instantly get better on the Yorkshire side. This proves that Lancs just cannot be bothered to maintain their side, but Yorks can.

Potholes all the way along the Lancashire side of Two Laws Road, 6th October

Sun, 06 Oct 2019 22:25:04 +0100
53.848385 -2.08608

This road is an absolute disgrace on the Lancashire side of the border. The road is eroding away at the edges severely and it’s littered with huge potholes in the road. I drove along it yesterday, my car ‘fell’ off the road going towards The Atom. I was unable to avoid the massive drop at the side of the decaying road as I rounded a corner. I have reported how dangerous this road is before. It’s been left to decay for over a year now and it needs serious improvements made quickly. This report applies to the road from school lane all the way up to the Yorkshire border near the Oakworth sign.

Really angry that the council, local MP and locals have allowed the local riffraff to vandalise and destroy this wonderful thought provoking sculpture. You should be ashamed that visitors are complaining about the vile grafetti and that the wonderful silver ball has been nicked. If that sculpture was in Hertfordshire we would not allow it to be left in such ruin and we would care for it. You need to treat such objects with pride and sort out the grafetti. Why are you allowing this to happen? Replace the ball, bolt it down, remove the grafetti and more importantly have pride in what you have. I am disgusted that the locals are not caring enough for this wonderful place. How long do we have to wait?

There are still many potholes and areas of cracking on this road (I don’t know the name) for approximately 3.5 miles from Keighley Road upon till the Bradford district boundary. I reported this entire length of road not too long ago and it appears nothing has been done, not even fill in the worst of the holes. It’s unacceptable and action needs to be taken ASAP!
