Missing Give Way markings on road (A59), 15th September
When approaching the roundabout indicated on the A59 heading south west, there are two lanes. The outer lane has Give Way markings on the road, but the left lane does not. However when approaching the roundabout in the left lane, it is far from clear whether it should be treated as a roundabout or a slip road. If there is traffic coming from the right are you meant to stop or continue on by staying in the left lane. I have seen some drivers who drive on regardless of traffic already coming from the right, whilst others have stopped for traffic from the right and been nearly run into the back of by people who assume that they should keep going. The lane markings from the A671 direction are broken lines and not solid lines, which suggests that traffic is allowed to move out of the inner lane into the outer one. Please can the signage/road markings be looked at to make it clearer what is intended?
