Orange camper van occupied and surrounded by rubbish and furniture, 9th November

Thu, 09 Nov 2023 14:24:10 +0000
53.875343 -2.393444

There is a man living in a non running orange camper van, who litters the pavement, smokes cannabis and appears in an undressed state. The van is positioned opposite the main entrance to the long stay carpark which attracts drug dealing, drug use and antisocial behaviour. The presence of the man and the van is contributing to the street becoming a no go area at night, which is a problem for users of the nearby bus and railways stations. The local council has declared itself unable to take any action.

Meadow View has not been swept for months. As late as January 2021 the Electricity Company dug up the road outside my house No 7 to lay a cable and the site has been untidy since. I feel that the amount of Council Tax we are paying does not relate to the service we are receiving.

Report on FixMyStreet

The road underneath the railway bridge has numerous deep potholes. This road is one of the two exits for the RVBC Chester Ave long stay car park. it has been rumoured that this road is unadopted however on the map it shows this road as a continuation of Milton Avenue which joins up with Railway View Road, 26th March

Tue, 26 Mar 2019 18:56:03 +0000
53.87499 -2.393192

These potholes have been here for months getting deeper by the day because of the number of cars that use the exit from Chester Avenue and the car park under the railway bridge. New houses are being built adjascent to Milton Avenue which means more cars will be using the exit under the railway bridge. Exiting instead from Chester Avenue on to Waddington Road is extremely difficult and dangerous if turning right because of cars parked close to the exits on Waddington Road.

This bungalow has Leylandii hedging around its boundary, which now is taller than the bungalow itself, but more imprtantly it is now so wide that it encroaches onto the footpath by at least 2 - 3 feet on both Milton Avenue and WaddingtonRoad, making it impossible to walk 2 abreast on either pavement.., 8th March

I haven't got a photo but could provide one if you feel it necessary. These trees have been left to grow rampant for many years now and we have commented when visiting parents. We now live on Berkeley Square so are reminded that their state each day and the problem is getting worse each growing season and feel that something should be done. The footpath surface is also appears to being eroded by the water and debris from the trees.
