These Kerbs are loose tilting and very dangerous, I fell into the road as it rocks and hurt myself, If a car was coming I would have been killed.

Overgrown trees blocking the footpath on Burnley Road East next to Dean Lane bus stop., 4th August
The trees are so overgrown they now take up almost all the footpath. It is difficult trying to walk on the pavement. Anyone in a wheelchair or pushing a pram would find it impossible and would have to go in the road.

Tree Preservation Order application, 18th May
Dear Sirs, I wish to add a TPO to the trees at the bottom of Riverside Mews which run alone the hill/lane on School street. I believe these trees offer an amenity to the local area. At a time where clement control is at the forefront of our society I believe this is important now more than ever. Also bats live very close to the end properties along with other wildlife such as birds and squirrels.

Large section of Burnley Road East is in a very bad state of repair., 14th February
From around Shaw Clough Road, travelling north through Whitewell Bottom - and past the indicator shown on the map up to Dean Lane in Water. The whole road is in a very bad state of repair. There is significant road desegregation from past road works, road sink-age, general break up, potholes and generally badly maintained road surfaces. Reading some of the reports on FixMyStreet.com this has been highlighted many times, but as a user of this road, nothing other than cold roll tar has been applied. I note that other areas such as Newchurch Road over Cloughfold has been properly patched recently, and that road was in a significantly better state that Burnley Road East. Near Isle of Man mill South bound carriageway is crumbling sinking and dangerous. From Rock Bridge Fold South bound to Foxhill Drive the road is probably at its worst section. The county is very positive about making our roads safer by slowing cars down, and applying speed cameras - but the basic safety of the physical standard of the road actually seems to be very much lower on the list. If the road is not in a good state the road is dangerous.

LARGE pothole!, 15th December
Massive pothole on the bend that is entirely unavoidable with it being on a part of the road with solid centre lines. This needs looking at urgently as it has cost me £110 in damages to my front off-side tyre causin a bulge and the alignment knocking out.

Deep pothole in the Southbound direction from Burnley on the corner., 12th December
Pothole over a foot wide and around 3 inches deep on the on the Southbound carriageway towards Waterfoot. This has been growing for the last 2/3 weeks. The Burnley Road is generally in a bad state of repair but this will cause damage to vehicles that hit it.

Burnley Road East in dreadful state from Newchurch up to just before Lumb, 9th August
The state of the road is dreadful from the newly surfaced road (completed July 16) up to the bend as you leave Whitewell Bottom. It looks like numerous previous road works have been finished to a poor standard and created a really messy surface. On my commute from Birmingham every weekend, I dread arriving at Burnley Road East, as its the worst surface on the whole journey. Quite embarassing.

Parked cars blocking the only pavement, 26th June
Cars parked on the pavement, restricting pedestrians to single file. No room for wheelchairs or push chairs. No pavement on other side and on a dangerous bend people forced to walk in the road. This is every evening and weekend.
