Tripping hazard due to uneven road surface and pot holes., 24th January
Some pot holes wre filled last year with temporary filling but this filling is now coming out leaving a very uneven road surface. As there is no pavement for several stretches of the road people are forced to walk in the road and there are some who have to use walking frames.I understand that this type of repair is only temporary but it seems to taking a while for a more permanent repair to take place.

Potholes androad surface broken up., 10th August
There are pot holes which have been here for months and the road surface is breaking up. Pedestrians are forced to walk on the rod as there is no pavement on either side. This is a blind corner and cars are moving to avoid pot holes on an already narrow road and this is becoming very dangerous .There are elderly people with walking frames who have to use this road.

20 mph sign in wrong place, 16th March
Higham Village has a 20 mph limit which is great except the official road sign isn't seen until after drivers turn the corner from the 50 mph bypass. Immediately around the corner is the school, and cars are frequently parked on the south side of Higham Hall Road, opposite the school, blocking access to cars from the bypass. How there hasn't been an accident there already I don't know. The 20 mph sign is in the position it's in because it's the Parish boundary. This is ridiculous. ....It needs to be moved to the turn immediately off the by pass. The village has done what it can but drivers ignore the sign put up by our Parish Council. The same signage issue occurs at the other end of Higham Hall Road, but there, the traffic isn't as bad. The bottom sign still needs moving though.

Previously repaired road has broken up., 16th March
Narrow road, in 20 limit, but cars parked on other side mean very difficult to avoid potholes. Near Higham School, so difficulties exacerbated at school times. Add to this, fact that cars approaching from other direction straight off 50 mph by-pass, plus no pavement for pedestrians make this a dangerous situation.

Two very deep and wide potholes 3 yds apart in the centre of the single width road opposite the entrance to Low Wood 46 Sabden road/Back lane, 5th January
The two large potholes erupted after the freezing conditions at the beginning of December 2017.. spring water is flowing out of the largest pot hole which is 6" deep at one end, and nearly 2 feet wide and 2 feet long .. it is continuing to flow and breaking up more of the tarmac around it ..this is compounded by vehicles hitting the outer circumference and breaking more up sending bits of tar and gravel spraying all over the road , making the lane very dangerous to walkers and particularly cyclists .. sat nav brings many vans down this lane and with their weight it is now a major hole in width and length but the depth is damaging car wheels and tyres.
