Killea road, 20th November
The hedge crunchers have been out again. How can council allow roads to be left in this condition? If I am cycling at 30mph and hit this mess I will come off causing injury or even fatality. I have been reporting this for many years to no avail. The buck stops with the council no excuses about Covid etc. There are professional hedge cutters out there with large blow fans that leave the road immaculate but when these crushers get away with this mess why would they spend money on a blower. I await results.

Creevagh, 8th November
Another year tolerating unscrupulous hedge cutting. They think it’s ok to leave the road sprawled with cuttings and thorns leaving it almost impossible for people of my age to walk. Just been talking to two irate cyclists who were on their second puncture. Not acceptable and this is the third year I’ve reported this practice.

500meters across the border, 21st April
A concerning situation is developing on the border on the Killea road. An area adjacent to the Killea water reservoir is beginning to be used as a dumping ground. For some time it has been used for dumping green matter, ( hedge cuttings, trees and building matter) but now over the weekend they have started to dump household matter, beds, mattresses other things. This is very dangerous especially beside a drinking water supply and needs to be stopped immediately. This dumping is some metres across the border and you must inform your colleagues in Donegal council to sort this out and it stopped before it escalates. Our clean drinking water is at stake.

Creevagh, 11th November
Creevagh road at the moment is getting so littered. This road has become a very busy cross border road and would need to be kept clean in order not to attract more dumping. When some people see rubbish they see it as an invitation to bring their own. I am doing my best to keep it acceptable.
