FIXMYSTREET IN BT25 1HN
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of BT25 1HN:
There needs to be a traffic crossing on this street, 31st August
This is a busy road with heavy traffic both ways on the way to the High School, the doctors, a SuperValu, a nursery and houses among other things. There is no safe way to cross the roads in this area for anyone, especially children going to the High School. There needs to be traffic lights installed or at the very least, a zebra crossing on that side of town.

Van parked on road blocking entry to estate and views from peoples house, 9th May
Large White van parked on road or on inside of Barban mews across car parking spaces which means harder for residents to park where they always parked. Cars have ended parking across exit of estate which makes it impossible to see out of estate to oncoming traffic.

Illegal Parking Outside Chinese Takeaway, 11th February
Customers of the Chinese takeaway are too lazy to park in the allocated spaces and think it's ok to park on the corner. This blocks traffic, especially buses entering the town centre in Dromore. Often traffic is trying to turn up Lower Mount Street but can't due to people parking illegally. This also happens outside the takeaway at the corner of Bridge street, where customers park on the white zig-zag lines of the crossing, often obstructing the view when crossing the road. The shop owner also does this most evenings, but mainly it's just fat lazy customers!! There needs to be something done about this..

Illegal Parking on Double yellow lines, 11th February
Each night from Tuesday to Friday there are several illegal cars parked on double yellow lines on this 1 way street. They also park on the footpath blocking access for prams and pedestrians. This forces anyone walking up the street to walk in the road which is only wide enough for 1 way traffic. This will eventually result in a serious accident.

Pavement kerb blocking hard shoulder forcing cyclists onto carriageway, 10th March
I regularly cycle alongside the A1 dual carriageway between my mum's house in Banbridge and my home in Hillsborough. The hard shoulder isn't a great option, but it's the most direct route and largely avoids of 'flattens' the hills which means I can l get between the two houses relatively quickly (reduces car pollution, give me exercise).
At the junction of Milebush Road and the A1 driving towards Dromore, there is a section of pavement (I've never seen any pedestrian use it) that reaches right out to the carriageway with a raised kerb. This blocks the hard shoulder and makes cycling past this spot inherently dangerous forcing cyclists onto the carriageway to get around it.
You can see it clearly in Google Street View http://goo.gl/b5ctS5.
Please restore the hard shoulder by removing the kerb and raised pavement. It serves no useful purpose to any pedestrian.
