FIXMYSTREET IN BT17 0ER
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of BT17 0ER:
Parking in yellow lines, 6th March
Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to raise the issue of people parking on yellow lines in front of school causing obstruction. They are parked directly in front of our driveway on the yellow lines causing difficulty to move in and out also caused damage to cars from scratching. This was always a problem but more recently we are faced with rude behaviour when asked to move the car. I would appreciate if the council can put up signs to reinforce that it is illegal to park on yellow lines. Many thanks

Dog fouling, 2nd December
Every morning I walked my child to school with my baby in her pram. There is dog fouling all over the footpath the whole journey to dunmurry primary school. This is especially bad right outside the gate of the school. As you can imagine the mess this disgusting. Children are walking this into school, on one occasion my child had it on his school bag as he had slipped in it. And then the issue of having a pram, I am avoiding the mess and having to use the road to avoid it.

Uneven path outside 42 willow gardens, 6th October
Residents of 42 willow gardens have had their garden converted into a driveway. To do this they dug up the public path and removed the kerbstones. This covers spaces where other residents would park. And the new surface they have installed is very uneven, with lips between the old and new path. This is a dangerous trip hazard.

Tree Preservation Order application, 12th August
Two large Ash trees together, a third located on the inside of a fence, in the nearby apartments, since following the construction of apartment flats and it's fence in the early 2000's. In the past there were four, the fourth once located between the three remaining has since been removed. The protection these trees offer to local wildlife and birds, aswell as adding aesthetic to the local community cannot be over-looked or over-stated. My fear is that one day either the council or others would apply to have them removed. These trees have pre-existed the housing estate and should be respected as an integral part of the local community.

Dog fouling all over the streets, this is a constant thing. It seems to be from many different dogs., 13th March
This is an on going problem, there seems to be many different dogs continually fouling the whole of the Brooke area. It lies until it dries up and then it is replaced daily. It is not easy to spot until you are close up as many cars are parked on the footpath. It is absolutely disgusting. It appears to be done early morning or late at night as you never see it happening.

3 large potholes near 118 Tullyard Road, Drumbo, Lisburn. Also, problems near to 107 Tullyard Road, Drumbo., 10th February
3 large potholes on the left side of Tullyard Road coming from Drumbo towards Glen Road. Also, on the opposite side of the road, just past 107 Tullyard Road. My car hit one of the potholes and there was a loud bang. I don't yet know if any damage has been done. If cars are coming towards you it's hard to avoid the pothole as the road is so narrow.
