Numerous potholes along lower part of Carrowreagh Road, 20th December
A range of potholes has developed and are worsening along the lower sections of the Carrowreagh Road in Dundonald. There are a range of potholes on the section of the Carrowreagh Road when exiting from the dual carriageway through to the entrance to Carrowreagh Business park. The situation is highly likely to deteriorate further, and will undoubtedly be more difficult to repair unless action is taken now. An assessment of resurfacing the lower section of the Carrowreagh Road should take place urgently to avoid the current, less cost- effective solution of repatching.

Carrowreagh Road Dundonald Inadequate signage of hazards, 11th February
Carrowreagh Road Dundonald: This unmarked and exposed road has a relatively high volume of traffic particularly at commuting times. Since the introduction of the bus lane on the Upper Newtownards Road there are increased numbers of commuters using this route during rush hours. The road is also untreated in winter and is on an exposed elevators position. In particular there are a series of hidden dips on the road and this is a serious potential hazard for fast moving traffic travelling in opposite directions on an unmarked road. It is also a potential hazard as a line of traffic builds up each morning and cars can be the other side of hidden dips and with fast moving traffic approaching from behind other motorists are unsighted to what lies at the other side of the dip, namely stationary traffic and therefore have to break suddenly. This is an accident waiting to happen with life changing consequences. Serious consideration must be given to placing signage regarding this particular hazard on this road as a warning/precautionary measure. I also believe that line markings would be helpful for motorists. Urgent attention is respectfully requested. Thank you.
