Blocked drains, 10th January
Several blocked drains from Wootton Crossroads to Wootton Hill are blocked and during the recent heavy rains this road was flooded. One of the drains, to the right of the gate on the edge of the grass verge by the pumping station is completely invisible and as this is a split type drain if it was cleared it would take a lot of the water flowing down Wootton Hill to alleviate the flooding.

Edge of Road missing, 10th January
Edge of road breaking up causing a deep rut and this has been reported on two other occasions and considered to be not serious enough. I disagree as this is now further towards the centre of the left hand side (looking towards Butleigh from Millfield) and looks as though some vehicles have already gone into it. This could cause serious damage to driver’s wheels if their wheels go into this area as Having to move over towards it if cars approaching in opposite direction are over the white line. Why has this not been fixed? Sub Road needs attention as there seems to be quite a few potholes appearing. Unable to photograph as dangerous road with no pavements.

Abandoned and Lived in Vehicles on Floodplain, 25th December
Large selection of abandoned and lived in vehicles This problem of caravans, vans and cars littered along this road is a hazard to road users and the general public. The squalor of people living on the verges of this flood plain road is becoming a serious issue not only to their health but to road users. By not attending to the issue over several years, the problem is growing with several spontaneous encampments being errected and created every week. There are now more than 30 vans, cars and caravans as well as a coach and recently transit pickups some of these vehicles have Irish number plates. The problem is now worse than that at Bretenoux Road two years ago, which the council has finally dealt with.
