Road subsidence causing flooding to school site, 21st November
We operate an Outdoor Learning Centre at BA51PT, where children travel from other bases nearby to experience forest school lessons, pathfinder activities and therapy sessions, with a small group based here fulltime as their needs are such that they are not able to access education centres even with our small group sizes. I visited the site on Friday 17/11/2023 to find the entrance road is flooded for approximately 16 meters from the road entrance along the drive way to the gate to our site making for difficult vehicle access, then the area we gravelled to raise the ground level and raised gravel walkways to our Polytunnel, The Hide, The meadow and Outdoor classroom were under up to 200mm of water. We attended site on Monday the 20/11/2023 for the School leadership team to meet our landlord by this time the site was under water 400mm of water with a rivulet running across the subsided road into our site.

B3151 - Nasty little gap opening up in the tarmac, 4th September
Two or three locations along the Glastonbury-bound side of the road have got longitudinal cracks opening upm due to heavy loads stressing the surface at the edge of the carriageway. One in particular, nearest to Meare, actually has a crack large enough for a cycle wheel to get caught in it, probably making the rider fall off. A couple of others, further towards Glastonbury and Rice Farm are not so bad - yet.

Dangerous pothole next to a drain, 4th September
On the B3151, eastbound carriageway, just on the slight lefthand bend - a nasty hole has opened up next to a storm drain. This route much used by cyclists. Would definitely damage a cycle if riding close to the verge - which you sometimes have to when vehicles overtaking as it's deeper than the wheel rim!

Blocked street drain., 19th July
I reported this blocked drain last year, and so far no one has dealt with it. It causes a constant flood at this end of the road, which is much worse in winter, but bad now.I have left a traffic cone on the pavement directly by it . Thank you.

3 more on Westhay Moor Drove!, 7th December
Three new potholes have opened up close together on Westhay Moor Drove on the section near to the new nature reserve excavcations.(Bwteeen Oak's Drove and Lewis's Drove) They are very close together on the southern edge of the carriageway and look like puddles after rain, but they are enough to cause severe bumps and potential damage. (I imagine theyare caused by the heavy machinery going to and fro while the new lake has been dug out.)
