Private wall has been hit right next to a public foot path, 26th March
The wall of the carpark of Mayfair house 39 Charlton road (running along the public foot path of victoria grove) was hit this morning by a lorry. Insurance has been informed and contact is being made with a builder. As this wall is right next to a public foot path, we are concerned for people's safety when walking past, the stones are so heavy they could really hurt someone if it fell.

New streetlight Barren Down Lane, Shepton Mallet, 19th March
We were awoken this Sunday morning to a great deal of shouting from workmen as a digger was driven up Barren Down Lane past our property. When I asked a worker what was going on he told me that a new lamp was being installed in Barren Down Lane.
This is adjacent to my property and as we are in a conservation area and Grade 2 listed any work such as this should have been notified in advance and consultation prior to permission carried out.
The lamp is above the height of our boundary wall and shines light into our property which is not acceptable.
Please advise the reasons for this work and what due process was carried out and your proposed remedy to reverse the adverse impact this light has on our property and well-being.
