FIXMYSTREET IN BA3 3XS
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of BA3 3XS:
Somervale Road, Radstock - Tree concern, 3rd May
Good afternoon,
I have called your park/tree management department this afternoon to raise concerns about a tree at the bottom of my garden (outside of the boundary of my garden, beyond the fence, close to Somervale Road A362).
I was advised that this appears to be a council owned tree and this this matter would be passed to the tree officer.
Following the call, I have walked along Somervale Road and have seen that based on how the tree is growing it is likely to fall onto my fence, shed and greenhouse. Please can this be passed to the tree officer for their attention.
I have attached a photo of the tree in question that is now leaning significantly, and gets worse in high winds. It also appears to be under some strain from a lot of ivy growing up it

Inappropriate parkour, 2nd May
At the junction before Withies Bridge many cars are now parking right before the turning. These cars are mostly from the bungalows next to the turning. It is very difficult when approaching the bend in the road to safely pass these parked cars due to the bushes on the right obstructing the view around the bend. Near misses are a regular occurrence and very worryingly a motorcyclist was nearly hit by an oncoming car leaving the estate as there was no clear view for either driver. Yellow lines need adding to the road as an accident will happen eventually which could be avoided.

Extensive littering and dog fouling, 2nd May
The grassy area at Fosse Green is used by residents of surrounding flats to allow their dogs to relieve themselves. There is no litter/dog waste bin close by, which means that the grass and adjacent pavement is riddled with dog waste and a considerable amount of litter. Many flats, including my own block, have individual reusable black bags for household waste, rather than wheelie bins or communal containers. Most people have to keep these inside because of lack of outside space and the fact the bags blow away if it is windy. This means they have no practical or hygienic way to take dog waste home for disposal. I myself walk an additional 5 minutes to the nearest litter bin at the end of Springfield Place, but this is not feasible for anyone with mobility issues and I believe most people will not do this because it is inconvenient. I believe if a litter/dog waste bin were placed next to the postbox at this location, people would use it and the problem would reduce significantly.
