34 St Peters Road Westfield, 6th May

Mon, 06 May 2024 17:17:40 +0100
51.281266 -2.47101

The bank of loose stone chippings adjoining the main Fooseway road does , I believe , belong to No 34 St Peters Rd. These stone chippings are now severely encroaching on the footpath and road and are becoming a danger to traffic and pedestrians. As I was walking past on the pavement today (5th May) a stone chipping was pinched under a vehicle wheel and flew across the pavement in front of me. I would suggest it be dealt with quickly to prevent injury and cracked windscreens from these stne chippings.

Somervale Road, Radstock - Tree concern, 3rd May

Fri, 03 May 2024 17:16:09 +0100
51.291489 -2.456757

Good afternoon, I have called your park/tree management department this afternoon to raise concerns about a tree at the bottom of my garden (outside of the boundary of my garden, beyond the fence, close to Somervale Road A362). I was advised that this appears to be a council owned tree and this this matter would be passed to the tree officer. Following the call, I have walked along Somervale Road and have seen that based on how the tree is growing it is likely to fall onto my fence, shed and greenhouse. Please can this be passed to the tree officer for their attention. I have attached a photo of the tree in question that is now leaning significantly, and gets worse in high winds. It also appears to be under some strain from a lot of ivy growing up it

Inappropriate parkour, 2nd May

Thu, 02 May 2024 18:20:24 +0100
51.281384 -2.489607

At the junction before Withies Bridge many cars are now parking right before the turning. These cars are mostly from the bungalows next to the turning. It is very difficult when approaching the bend in the road to safely pass these parked cars due to the bushes on the right obstructing the view around the bend. Near misses are a regular occurrence and very worryingly a motorcyclist was nearly hit by an oncoming car leaving the estate as there was no clear view for either driver. Yellow lines need adding to the road as an accident will happen eventually which could be avoided.
