B3151 Crack in road surface wide enough for a cycle wheel to get trapped, 16th March
There's a creck opened up in the tarmac on the North side of the B3152 between Whitebridge Farm and the farm access bridge over the River Brue. It's now wide enough for a cycle wheel to get trapped in, which would cause a very nasty accident for the cyclist. The road is used by many bikes, especially at weekends, and the narrow wheels of racing-type bikes would immediately get trapped. Even my ordinary wheel goes into the crack.

Two or three locations along the Glastonbury-bound side of the road have got longitudinal cracks opening upm due to heavy loads stressing the surface at the edge of the carriageway. One in particular, nearest to Meare, actually has a crack large enough for a cycle wheel to get caught in it, probably making the rider fall off. A couple of others, further towards Glastonbury and Rice Farm are not so bad - yet.
