Watford Grammar School for Boys and Watford Grammar School for Girls are the two secondary schools in the area.

The area also contains numerous parks, including Cassiobury Park, Oxhey Park, and Croxley Common. These parks contain various sports facilities, such as cricket pitches, tennis courts, and football fields.

WD24 is served by Watford Borough Council and its local councillors are Richard Hoskins (LibDem), the Mayor of Watford, Dylan Baker (Liberal Democrats), Muhammad Iqbal (Labour) and Siti Noor (Conservative). The local Member of Parliament is Dean Russell (Conservative).
