Household clearance, 26th February

Mon, 26 Feb 2018 15:30:34 +0000

This has been like this for over 3 weeks. The people from the property have emptied the house, and dumped the rubbish like this. It's the first thing you see when entering the street, it's disgusting. They need to be made to move it immediately.

Brooklands Avenue Walton is a dodge the dog poo path. I have to walk my son on the roads most days due to people not picking up dog mess. Pw, 7th December

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 22:38:45 +0000

Dog mess not any bins except near park to put dog mess into. I have to walk with my son on the brooklands avenue road back and to school because people leave it on path. It got better for a while now it's bad even worse than before. People with prams are hit worse as they can't avoid it sometimes and end up with it on there wheels which the pram goes into the house. Can't something be done to catch the culprit. Surely someone can sit in wait at dog walking hours undercover to catch them.

Cemetery fence kicked down, 2nd December

Sat, 02 Dec 2017 10:13:15 +0000

It would appear that a fence panel has been kicked down from inside the cemetery. This is unsightly and the panel is layed along the grass verge. There is already an anti-social element as often undesirable people use the cemetery as a shortcut. They can now walk through the cemetery even when the gate is locked and can access the street. It must be particulary distressing for people who visit relatives in the cemetery and this destroyed fence is in close proximity to a grave.

Vehicle Repair and MOT Centre, 26th October

Thu, 26 Oct 2017 19:22:07 +0100

Very busy car repair garage at end of narrow terrace street. Only access to garage is down Warwick Street so frequent traffic going up and down - not even easy to turn around at end! Very difficult to park - cars regularly parked on street awaiting repair. Large recovery vehicles drive down Warwick Street to access garage, there is no other entry or exit from the garage - the street is too narrow to even double park but that does not stop them. You have to park on path or your car gets damaged. Is it even allowed - it's a residential street? There was a large fire last year and explosions - firemen had difficulty accessing the garage.

Manhole/Drain cover, 11th October

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 13:31:01 +0100

The manhole/drain cover right on the said roundabout on Asdale Road {for traffic heading towards Denby Dale Rd} is in a bad state with the surface around the cover has come away and left holes and appears to be 'sinking' and in need of serious attention. Dangerous for motorcyclists and cyclists especially.

The roundabout at the junction of ASDA Supermarket, Asdale Road, Wakefield, 11th October

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 13:26:23 +0100

The road surface on the roundabout to the approach to ASDA supermarket is best described as 'lumpy' and uneven and is in need of repair on such a main and popular road. Maybe this work/repair could have been carried out when the very recent resurfacing approach to ASDA supermarket was undertaken ?

Litter ?? everywhere, 7th September

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 12:40:41 +0100

This park need to be either fixed or permanently shut down. My daughter wanted to play today, but due to all the litter spread everywhere, it was impossible. This problem is daily. Either come up with a better safer design park, or shut it down and be done with it. It's not fair on all the families around Agbrigg, who maybe dont have a garden, or transport to go out of the area to another park. You need to follow Leeds council. Everyone of there parks we've been to are looked after and maintained. Wakefield parks are run down and more resemble a dumping ground.

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 16:27:38 +0100

Rubbish dumped at the bottom of my street. It's disgusting. If it's not people drinking and drug taking/selling, its flytipping. More action from the police and council needed.

Fly tipping seen on heath common fields where the horses are, includinf furniture, buckets, paint, shop signage and banners and general waste, 15th August

Tue, 15 Aug 2017 20:38:37 +0100

Just to inform you there is a large pile of fly tipped waste on the land at heath common, near where the horses are tethered, same side of the road as the pub up towards the bench at the top of the hill, looks like a shop or business has been closed and the waste has been left in the field.

Broken stop tap cover., 27th April

Thu, 27 Apr 2017 11:32:56 +0100

It appears there is a broken metal stop tap cover that could be dangerous to people walking on the footpath. Even more so in the dark. It's probably a waggon that's mounted the footpath to avoid inconsiderate parking.

Pointing in wrong direction., 20th April

Thu, 20 Apr 2017 17:40:16 +0100

The sign is pointing to Agbrigg, towards Doncaster Road. It should be pointing the other way. I'm assuming who ever placed it there, that they were ment to place it on the other side of the road. Either way, it should be changed, as it's directing people in the wrong direction.

Agbrigg Park, 20th April

Thu, 20 Apr 2017 16:19:10 +0100

There is rubbish all over this park, it's disgusting. My daughter wanted to play on the swing and I couldn't let her. That Park is more like the council tip, rather than a childrens play area. Something need doing because it's appallingly.

Work marked to be done but not carried out., 14th March

Tue, 14 Mar 2017 15:09:29 +0000

A number of weeks/ months (possibly) on Chevet Lane rising up from the crossroads with Lodge Lane and Common Lane there were white markings applied where potholes and road erosion had been marked for repair. The whitened paint marking has long since gone but as yet no repairs at all along the road. There are also quite bad potholes further along Chevet Lane on the bend before the steep hill going down towards the junction with Haw Park Lane. Anyone hitting these at a slightly inappropriate speed on the bend may well be bounced into oncoming traffic.
