Dirty road, 11th January
This dirt road looks as though it may have a real tarmac road with cats eyes, hidden just an inch below all the mud. If you could send an archaeology team or a really, really good road sweeper, we might be able to drive along this road and be able to see where it goes — at the same time! Particularly cats eyes at night would be a real safety aid, as I prefer not to stray into the path of oncoming vehicles where possible, especially given it’s a 60mph road.

Roadworks debris left on carriageway, 18th April
There are approximately seven cones from previous roadworks left strewn around the motorway, some are in the central reservation and are blowing around the carriageway. These are between the M54 junction 6 and A5 junction with the A49. Many are or have been blown into the verges. Most have separated from the weighted rubber base, hence the lighter top cones are moving on the wind. Similar litter on the verges such as a mattress, 5 litre containers and large bags / sacks are also a danger to motorists.
