This road is an absolute disgrace and needs sorting out asap! The road is falling away and huge endless potholes. Seriously injury or vehicle damage is inevitable. Loss of business to such a lovely venue! I seriously hope this gets sorted very soon.

The large and small signs have been filthy for years. After cutting down the foliage a couple of years ago the signs were not cleaned., 13th April
The warning, advisory, info. signs are in place immediately before a well documented accident black at Builwas. Keeping them clean, visible and in good order is Shropshire Council's responsibility. Telford & Wrekin's responsibility is very clearly observed slightly higher up Builwas Bank. Surely this should give Shropshire Council some pride in maintaining its carriageways, signs and road traffic information

Blocked drains and flood, 31st March
Heavy rain Thurs/Fri has again caused flooding on the road. The drains appear to still be blocked and the flood water has poured into my garden causing more damage to the bank. I have reported this issue before. The surface water pushed grit, soil, stones etc down the road and it builds up by the bridge, their is still pile on the side of the road that washes back into the road when it rains.

Another dead deer on A49, 28th March
Could we please have signs put up on the A49 warning people about the deer crossing the road please as too many are being killed on the stretch of road by the Longnor turning please

Flooding in Heavy Rain, 29th February
I have concerned that this area floods insignificantly when we have heavy rain. On Thursday 22nd Feb, the food flooded leave both staff and pupils of Buildwas Academy unable to get into school. As Head of School, this left me with no choice but to close the school. This cannot happen every time that there is significant flooding of this road especially at a time when the Department for Education are really pushing schools to ensure good attendance.

Drains blocked on road, 22nd February
There are two drains where the flooding has occurred, I believe these became blocked during the last flood. There was also a lot of debris from the road and this was reported and someone came out and pushed this onto the road side. However, It doesn't appear that the drains have been unblocked and the water has built up again along the road and over the bridge, and is overflowing into my garden. Last time this caused damage to the bank (in my garden) and a lot of soil was washed away. I'm not certain who is responsible for maintaining the drains.

Road Flooded, 22nd February
Road has flooded outside a couple of properties. Cause unknown as this has not happened before. Vehicles driving fast through the flood causing some aquaplaning and also the water is being dispersed onto our property.

Parking around Buildwas School, 21st February
The relationship between Buildwas Academy and the local residents are becoming increasingly strained due to ongoing parking issues. This was boiled over yesterday when a resident rudely spoke to a one of our parents about her parking followed by a complaint to the school. Speaking to the residents, they are under the impression that parts of the area was going to be tarmaced and some of the grass areas decreased in size to allow more roadside parking. It would be great to have a conversation with someone to come and see the site as I feel that the pictures don't so it justice.

Oil and break fluid on footpath and road from two vehicles that are parking half on footpath and half on road outside number 41 and 42, 15th February

2 x 12 inch potholes again!, 15th February
Potholes again developed on joint on bridge. Now in 2 places on each side of the carriageway so can't be avoided. Dangerous for drivers and cyclists. Potentially causing car) vehicle damage and injuries.

Massive pothole which will wreck tyres, wheels & suspension, 14th February
Massive lateral pothole at bridge expansion joint nearest to main road junction which could potentially be contributing factor to a future serious RTA in the vicinity of 2 road junctions. Cannot be seen in the dark. Despite very reduced road speeds due to drivers approaching road junctions, the severity of what is in effect a 4 to 5 feet long pothole across the carriageway travelling from Much Wenlock towards the Buildwas - Ironbridge bypass is extreme. Some warning signs of the danger would be helpful to alert drivers.
