This corner has been eroding away for at least 2 years, there’s a lot of water that runs under it, and nothing has been done, the most that happens is someone draws a white or yellow box around it and leaves it at that, when the roads flood you can’t see the potholes, and if you don’t know the road it’s extremely misleading. Spout lane gets used by the milk tank everyday as well as HGVs servicing the local farms. It’s dreadful that the roads in such an area of outstanding natural beauty where there are multiple visitors has so many issues

Dreadful road conditions, 25th March
This road has been falling away for months and nothing has been done about it, only since there has been two major potholes has there been any sort of repairs and all they did was fill them in, nothing about the rest of road has been done - a family member reported the road last week, seeing it had already been reported and nothing done, another family member popped a tire this morning. Considering we all pay our road tax and are on one of the highest bands for council tax, I think this is truly horrendous, not only this road but multiple in the area, which I will also be reporting. The entire road needs digging up and relaying, how can people justify paying their taxes which are supposedly going towards road fixtures when your organisation can’t even bother to correctly maintain the roads we pay to drive on. Unless claims are made or someone gets hurt, nothing gets done anymore, and it shouldn’t have to come to that.

Large potholes on either side, 25th March
Potholes on either side of the road. They’re deep and you cannot go around them. Popped my tyre on one this morning and am currently filling out a claim form.

Blocked drains and flooding, 21st March
This has been a problem since November. It’s a joke it still hasn’t been sorted out. The council tax is going up but nothing seems to get sorted!

Blocked drain / Gully, 15th March
There is standing water on this road and there has been since November last year, someone came and cleared the drain/gully in November but the standing water did not drain away, It is very difficult to walk and drive through, The drain/ Gully needs clearing properly to prevent standing water on the highway. Please can this be addressed ASAP

Drain continuously blocked, 3rd January
This drain has been blocked for several years and the issue report previously. The previous job had been closed but the issue was not resolved with surface of the drain being cleared. We have elderly residents and the excess water freezes and makes walking down the road very dangerous.

Blocked gulley causing highway flooding, 3rd December
Attempted to clear gulley grate of leaves etc. but main grate clear so assume the blockage is further down into stormwater drainage system.
Standing water has been there for 4-5 weeks and doesn’t ever recede. With recent freezing temperatures the standing water is freezing over and also impacting main carriageway on blind bend.

Erosion of the road and build up of debris in the centre of the road, 8th November
This problem is ongoing with some repairs carried out previously but never completed. Water runs down the road from Little hill farm and erodes the outside of the highway causing the road surface to collapse and break up. In addition there are potholes at the bottom of the bank on a corner together with a build up of soil and stone across the road. This in particular is a danger to walkers and cyclists as my wife can testify.

On going erosion of the highway and potholes, 8th November
This issue is ongoing and has been reported several times before. Some minor and random repairs have been made but this length of road requires a more thorough repair before the winter weather creates a much bigger problem. There is water ersoion of the highway on both sides and a build up of stone and soil in the centre of the road. Some of the water flow is due to a blocked drain which I have also reported.

Blocked drain which tends to reoccur on a regular basis, 8th November
Blocked drain causing water to run down the road and erode the highway. The edge of the road is very eroded with potholes. Soil and stone is building in the middle of the highway at the bottom of the hill, which has been reported previously.
