It is also home to a range of educational establishments, including Acklam Grange Comprehensive School, Acklam Whin Primary School, Nunthorpe Primary School and Southlands Nursery.
The postcode is policed by the Cleveland Police, is in the Middlesbrough North constituency and is represented by Conservative MP, Jacob Young. The postcode district is part of the Middlesbrough Urban Subdivision which has a total population of 154,448, according to the 2011 census.
