The postcode is served by two railway stations: Redcar Central and Saltburn. Redcar is connected to Middlesbrough and Teesside by the Tees Valley Metro, while Saltburn is connected to Middlesbrough and Darlington via the Esk Valley Line.

The TS10 area also contains a significant industrial presence in east Redcar, including chemical and steel works. It is also home to a variety of industries, such as pharmaceuticals and offshore engineering. Redcar and Cleveland is widely known for its salt production near South Bank.

The TS10 postcode area is served by two hospitals: Redcar Primary Care Hospital and the University Hospital of North Tees. It is also served by a number of primary and secondary schools, including Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, West Redcar Primary School, and Redcar Academy, and it is also home to further education colleges, including Cleveland College of Art & Design and Redcar & Cleveland Sixth Form College.

The TS10 postcode area contains a number of parks and green spaces, including the Transporter Bridge Country Park, Redcar Lakeside, Coatham Marsh, and Eston Hills Country Park. Other places of interest include Kirkleatham Owl Centre, Saltburn Zoo, Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum and Flatts Lane Woodland Centre.

The postcode is also known for its diverse range of retail and leisure facilities.
