Boasting wonderful views of lush rolling hills, the area has a variety of leisure activities for the whole family to enjoy. Outdoor enthusiasts can make the most of the nearby botanical gardens at Aberglasney House and the walks along the towpaths of the Lliedi and Cynin rivers. There are also plenty of places to fish, a skate park, a playground for children and several sports clubs.

For shopping, Crosshands has several supermarkets, homeware stores, a garden centre and a farmers' market. There is also a great selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants for visitors and locals alike to sample the fresh local produce.

With a number of small business, the area plays a vital role in the local economy. Many of these businesses are part of the SA31 Business Improvement District (BID) which has been established to help support local independent businesses in Crosshands. The BID also supports a number of community events such as the annual Crosshands Food and Family Festival.

SA31 is well served by transport links with easy access to Swansea via the A48 and to the M4 via the A476. It is also well served by local buses with direct routes to Carmarthen and Swansea.

Education wise, the area has a number of primary schools catering for all ages and interests, as well as a number of local secondary schools. There are also two further education colleges nearby offering a variety of courses and training for both adults and young people.

SA31 is a great destination with a plethora of activities and amenities for its local and visiting populations to enjoy.
