The SA19 postcode area is located in the Swansea district of South Wales and is a predominately rural area in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It covers a significant area of the Brecon Beacons, comprising several villages, hamlets and parts of the surrounding countryside. The postcode area also includes the villages of Bethlehem, Betws, Cilybebyll, Llanfiangel-Y-Creuddyn, Rhosgadfan and Upper Chapel.

The area is mainly rural and agricultural with the major land use being pasture and livestock. It is home to a few small towns and villages including Llandeilo, which is the most populous with over 3000 people. Much of the landscape is characterised by woodlands, heaths and streams with the highest concentrations of woodland being in the areas around Llanfiangel-Y-Creuddyn and Betws.

The area is also home to several sites of special scientific interest including the restricted limestone grassland of Henbant and the large blanket bog of Mynydd Mallaen. It is also home to several species of mollusc, amphibians, reptiles and birds of prey, including the endangered Red Kite.

The area also contains several important historical sites and monuments, including two Iron Age hill forts at Carn Goch and Foel Drygarn, a Neolithic burial cairn at Carnau, as well as Bronze Age standing stones, stone circles and two Roman-era marching camps.

The area is known for its picturesque landscapes and rolling hills, which attract walkers and cyclists from all around the country. There are a wide variety of trails in the area which makes it a popular destination for people who want to explore the area's wildlife and nature. There are also a number of climbing routes and bouldering areas in the Brecon Beacons, as well as a number of scenic drives.

For a more leisurely activity, the area also offers some great fishing spots, as well as a number of picturesque waterways, lakes and reservoirs. There are several notable inns, hotels and pubs which cater to visitors as well as a number of local shops, cafes and markets offering a variety of local produce and crafts.
