The main features of SM3 include many green areas such as Wallington Hall Gardens, Wallington Green, Beddington Park, Beddington Woods, Nonsuch Park, Cuddington Meadows and Oaks Park. It also contains known landmarks and historic sites such as Nonsuch Mansion, Beddington Park Mansion, Whitehall Manor and The New Hall at Nonsuch Park. The area is both densely populated and well-serviced by public transport links, which include the Sutton tram, many bus services, and overground train services from Wallington, South Merton and Sutton.

SM3 has a wealth of shopping options, such as high street chains and independent shops in Worcester Park and in Wallington Town Centre. Moreover, many markets such as the Western Road Market take place weekly in the area. Other popular spots to visit include bars and restaurants, churches, leisure centres, golf courses, and a variety of community events.

In terms of education, SM3 has an abundance of primary and secondary schools and nurseries, as well as the renowned Wilson's School. There are also some special need schools in the area. In terms of health, the area is serviced by two main hospitals - the Royal Marsden Hospital and St Helier Hospital, both of which have excellent reputations.
