Stockton Brook is known for its mining history, having once been a major coal mining centre. Lane End is a small rural settlement on the edge of the Churnet Valley, while Endon is known for its rural walks and stunning waterfalls.
In terms of transport, the ST11 postcode is well-connected. The postcode is close to the A52, A53 and A34 and is within easy access of surrounding areas such as Macclesfield, Leek and Oakamoor. It is also just to the west of junction 15 on the M6 motorway.
