There is also plenty of outdoor space farther afield, with beautiful beaches to the north and remote marshes to the south.
Occasionally, the area receives a spectacular display of cruise ships passing by while traveling towards other ports around the world. The area recently hosted the Clipper Round the World Race, making the streets of SS9 a regular sight for the visitors.
The SS9 postcode has excellent transport links further afield too. Prittlewell Station offers direct routes to London and the nearby major cities of Chelmsford and Colchester. The nearby A127 and A13 also provide excellent connections to the local area, allowing for easy access to Southend-on-Sea, London or beyond.

Ss95sh. We have been resident's For 10 yrs in this area. Great amenities- shops schools excellent - fantastic neighbours. Quite - although the road whitehouse road has got busy over the past 2 years - only between school runs - quite during the day Very safe area - highly recommend by us. Family area as the school rate very high in ofsted.
