Ascot is famous for its glorious racecourse, which recently underwent a multi-million pound upgrade of the facilities. The racecourse attracts worldwide attention for its Royal Ascot event, of which the Queen is Patron, as well as daily racing fixtures.

The Racecourse Train Station in Sunninghill was opened in 1989 and offer links to London Waterlely and Reading. It is only a short drive away from London Heathrow Airport.

The Windlesora Great Park Visitor Centre, which is found in the SL5 postcode area, is a popular attraction. It features Mile Hill, an adventure play area, Hobbs of Henley boathouse, The Savill Garden, Valley Gardens, and Virginia Water Lake.

SL5 also has a range of lovely places to eat, drink, and go out. For example, Sunningdale boasts the prestigious pink-washed pub, The Sun on the Hill, while Ascot has options including The Fox and Hounds, The White Hart, and the Wiltshire Arms.

Furthermore, there is much to do in the area for even the youngest family members, such as LEGOLAND Windsor, a theme park designed around the global appeal of the Little Plastic Brick. Additionally, the post code also scores high on the education front, with the best of British education being available in a number of independent and state-run schools, such as The Dr. Finlay Wooldridge CE School, Ascot Heath Junior Schools, and The Marist Catholic Secondary School.
