Widen carriageway, 20th August

Mon, 20 Aug 2018 11:34:12 +0100

The section of Lower Earley Way between the new "relief" road traffic lights and Showcase Roundabout, needs to be widened as a matter of urgency. What happens each morning is people use the right hand lane at the lights for the "relief" road, and as they try to merge into one lane, they get pushed into oncoming traffic. This section of LEW should have been widened when the lights were being put in. Please make sure you widenen it enough so those those wishing to use the two left hand lanes for Woodley and Wokingham are kept out of the way of the traffic heading towards the A329(M). This layout of two lanes, down to one, then back up to two and then four is crazy, and needs attention before there is a nasty head-on crash.

Showcase Roundabout Gravel, 20th August

Mon, 20 Aug 2018 11:11:59 +0100

I cycle through/across the Showcase Roundabout on my way to work each morning, and I have noticed a large build up of gravel on the roundabout, especially at all the crossing points, and alongside all the kerbs. Could this whole junction get a full sweep to get rid of all this gravel. The other morning I almost came off my bike because I had to stop quickly and skidded on this gravel.

House shakes, 19th August

I have noticed that my house vibrates whenever a bus or heavy duty vehicle goes past it. My house is on Colemansmoor Road opposite the green the Bader Way end and its very significant. My neighbours are also experiencing the same vibrations and major cracks are appearing in the walls. The whole house violently shudders and the buses drive past fairly quickly especially early morning and late evening. Could this be investigated please.

At this set of pedestrian operated traffic lights in Woodlands Avenue Woodley, outside the site of the former Buklmershe Leisure CEntre the bleeping signal does not happen at all times when the green man and green cycle lights are showing., 13th July

Fri, 13 Jul 2018 10:12:47 +0100

At this set of pedestrian operated traffic lights in Woodlands Avenue Woodley - outside the site of the former Bulmershe Leisure Centre, the bleeping signal does not happen at all times when the green man and green cycle lights are showing. When I've been using this crossing at around 8 a.m it does bleep, but from around 11 a.m onwards it doesn't bleep. The whole reasoning behind this bleeping signal is to aid blind people to use the crossing safely. Can this situation be rectified asap as it is a disability related issue and it's been like this for many months that I can personally recall Historically, when the old bungalow in front of the Bulmershe Leisure Centre was occupied, the residents in it managed to get this bleeping signal muted in the early mornings as it disturbed them, but the bleep signal was always operating later on in the day.
