The PR25 postcode covers the western part of Chorley, which consists of a largely rural landscape. Much of this countryside is protected, with parts of Rivington, Anglezarke and Horwich Moor Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The area is also a haven for cyclists, birdwatchers and walkers; it is home to two stretches of the Leeds Liverpool Canal, White Coppice and Brindle Viaduct.

A major feature of the PR25 postcode is the A49 motorway, which runs through the area. The A49 links with the M61 motorway to the north, providing commuters easy access to Preston, Manchester and the North West.

The PR25 postcode also includes Adlington Hall, a beautiful Grade I listed building and an ancient manor house which dates back to medieval times. The Hall is open to the public and boasts an impressive 12-acre garden. Adlington Hall has also become known for its annual medieval day, which sees hundreds of revellers take part in living history workshops and other activities.

The area also contains several nature reserves, parks and commons, such as Eller Beck Nature Reserve, Teddesley Hall Nature Reserve, Charnock Richard Country Park and Cuerden Valley Park. All of these can be accessed via the various footpaths and cycle routes in the PR25 postcode.

Other attractions in the area include Astley Hall which is a Grade I listed building and museum, listed garden at Yarrow Valley Country Park and a coin museum, which boasts over 3,000 coins from over 25 countries. There is also three golf courses – Chorley, Horwich and Adlington – as well as a range of shops, pubs and restaurants.
