The Harris Museum is a free-to-enter gallery and museum featuring interactive displays and collections that show the rich history of Preston and the region.
Deepdale Stadium, home to Preston North End Football Club, is the oldest continually-used football grounds in the world, having been opened in 1875. The Miller Arcade is Preston's oldest Victorian shopping centre and is located just off Fishergate.
Lastly, the University of Central Lancashire is the largest university in the area and was founded in 1828 as the Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge. It is a popular choice among international students and in recent years has grown to become one of the best universities in the North West.

It is well connected with the local transport network, including regular rail and bus services to other towns and cities.
