One of the area's main attractions is the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, based at Gosport. It provides a fascinating insight into the world of submarines and the history of the Royal Navy. Other nearby attractions include the Mary Rose Museum and the Isle of Wight villages and Needles Battery.

The area offers excellent retail potential with some big-name brands and popular high street shops based in and around Portsmouth. The local area also enjoys excellent leisure facilities with a number of pubs, restaurants, sports clubs, bowling alleys, cinemas, and theatres.

The town of Cosham lies within this postcode district, and it is home to Cosham High Street, where shoppers can find a range of shops and supermarkets, plus a range of restaurants, cafés and takeaways.

The postcode is served by two railway stations, Cosham station which is located on the mainline, and Hilsea station located close to the M27 motorway. It is also served by an excellent bus network, the Eden Bus, with fantastically low prices for transport, giving the city a great sense of connectivity.
