Another major attraction in PE9 is Tallington Lakes, a massive leisure centre providing an abundance of outdoor activities, such as fishing, wind surfing, and sailing.

The area is also renowned for its picturesque villages and towns, which give PE9 its rural charm. Most of these villages, such as Uffington, Barnack, Empingham, and Greatford, have managed to retain their character over the years through their period architecture. Similarly, the area's churches have also been well preserved, particularly in and around Stamford.

PE9 is also home to a number of parks and reserves, which are havens for wildlife and allow residents to get back in touch with nature. Among the reserves is Rutland Water Nature Reserve, which is the largest in the United Kingdom. This reserve covers an area of more than 4,000 hectares and includes a variety of habitats, from wooded areas to marshes and reedbeds. It is also popular with hikers, birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.

The area is serviced by an extensive transport network, with frequent bus routes between the larger towns and cities in the region. There is also a railway station located in Stamford which serves both Peterborough and Lincolnshire. The closest airport to PE9 is East Midlands Airport, which is about 45 minutes away by car.
