Maxey is a small village located just North of Peterborough City Centre and is known for its Norman church St Winwaloe. Peakirk is a village and civil parish in the administrative district of Peterborough City Centre and is known for its 11th century church of St Pega. Etton is a village located between Peterborough and Cambridge and is known for its Roman remains. Newborough is a village located just south of Peterborough City Centre and is known for its large windmill which is over 190 years old. Sutton is a largely rural village located close to the geographical centre of Peterborough. East Pcterborough is a large village located close to the A1 motorway just North of Peterborough city centre.

The PE6 Postcode district is located in the East Midlands region of England and shares the same post town area with Peterborough. The district covers an area of roughly 22 square miles with a population of around 14,000 people. The majority of the area is rural in nature with the majority of people employed in the agricultural industry.
