In addition, its deep, glaciated lochs provide an ideal habitat for otters and Arctic char.

Loch Rannoch is also famous for its stunning scenery and isolated location, with nearby Ben Alder being the highest mountain in the area. Other popular activities in the area include fishing, sailing, wildlife watching, walking and even skiing down the slopes of the nearby Ben Alder range.

The postcode of PH49 is served by a number of local amenities including a bakery, general store, post office, and hotel. Moreover, the nearby villages of Kinloch Rannoch and Fortingall offer a range of services and facilities for visitors.

The area is also popular with cyclists and campers due to its relative isolation and close proximity to real wilderness, while it is also well connected to nearby services such as those in Pitlochry, Aberfeldy and Kenmore.
