PH38 (also known as Strontian) is a postcode district in Highland Council area, Scotland. It covers the towns of Strontian, North Morar, Ledaig, and Ardgour.

The postcode district is roughly defined as being the Morvern Coast, an area of beautiful coastline and mountain scenery. It features the white sand beaches of Loch Sunart and the iconic hills of Beinn Tharsuinn, Ben Resipole, and Ben Linnhe.

The area is home to around 1,800 people, mostly concentrated in and around the village of Strontian. Other picturesque hamlets include North Morar and Ardgour.

The local economy is mainly reliant on tourism, particularly during the season of Summer with visitors flocking to the area to enjoy spectacular views, fish, boat, cycle or enjoy a walk along the Strontian Shore.

Interest in the history of the area has also increased in recent years with the discovery of an ancient underwater forest in the nearby Loch Sunart.

In terms of transport links, Strontian is served by Scotrail buses as well as regular coach links to Inverness. Ferries from Kilchoan connect the mainland to Mull and Coll.

The primary industry in the postcode district is farming. Agriculture in the area is mainly focused around dairy and beef farming. There are also sheep farms in the vicinity. Salmon fisheries and trout fisheries also operate in the area.

The local area provides stunning outdoor activities which include mountain biking, sailing, kayaking, golf courses, forest trails and sandy beaches.

The village of Strontian has a wide range of amenities including a post office, chemist, cafes, pubs and a brewery. The village also includes a bank and a village hall where regular events and music are held.

Nearby, the Ardmoor National Nature Reserve covers 700 hectares of woodland, hills and moorland with a vast variety of wildlife and trees.

The postcode district forms part of the Lochaber Geopark which is made up of six interconnected Geopark areas. The geopark has been awarded Global Geopark status from UNESCO and showcases the regions geological heritage.
